Grosvenor Scholars

A $1 million endowment was established to support the Grosvenor Scholars Program. Under this program, one Texas State Ph.D. student in geographic education carries out research tasks for one year at the Washington, D.C. headquarters of the National Geographic Society. 

The Grosvenor Scholar Program was re-organized in 2018 to support an in-house Research Scholar in the Grosvenor Center at Texas State University. 

Financial support for this innovative scholarly program comes from the Roy F. and Joann Cole Mitte Foundation and the National Geographic Society Education Foundation.
