A thirty foot tall tower with weather instruments in a grass field on the Round Rock campus. This weather station also includes two rain gauges approximately ten feet away from the base of the tower and arms extending away from the tower containing air temperature, wind, and solar radiation instruments. An anemometer is at the very top of the tower, along with another arm extending outward that supports an air temperature instrument.

Weather Station

A 10 meter tower built with the TWDB's TexMesonet at our Round Rock campus, observing air temperature, wind, humidity & dewpoint, pressure, solar radiation, rainfall, and soil conditions every five minutes for Geography teaching and research.

Meteogram

An interactive, multi-panel view of measured conditions at the Round Rock weather station: air temperature and dew point, wind, solar radiation, barometric pressure, rainfall, and soil temperature and moisture. Drag across any panel to zoom in, hover for exact values, and double-click to reset.

  • Real-time data (coming soon) — Weather station data is distributed in near real-time through TexMesonet. Time-series graphs and interactive maps will be updated here, so the meteogram will reflect current conditions instead of a fixed snapshot.
