Only a few classes in, and I've already increased my knowledge about geography education and learned many active learning strategies that I am incorporating in my classes. The faculty in this department truly care about the graduate students and will do anything to help us succeed. I am very happy with my decision to join this program!

The program provides high quality instructional strategies & subject matter content that I immediately implemented in my APHG class. Our professors are extremely knowledgeable and provide me with thought provoking, practical assignments that translate into highly impactful lessons for my high school students. The online-only format allows me to complete classes at a convenient pace and provides flexibility that I have not seen in other GeoEd graduate programs. I am proud to be a TXST geographer!
The Texas State University online MAGeo program with a concentration in geographic education was just what I was looking for. I teach AP Human Geography and have wanted to get my master’s degree for years but couldn’t due to time constraints. This program meets the needs of teachers like me who want to obtain a master’s degree while also continuing to work with our students each day.
